the gallery of the Orangerie of Esterházy castle is reached through a spiral-staircase and offers a sovereign view over the entire space of the barock greenhouse which –in 2000- explicitely made me determine the object-form table as theme of the exhibition. Out of a cubic metre of lindentree I cut wooden planks which I used as image-carrier for aquacrylics-technique; furthermore various sub-constructions were bent and welded from perforated ironplates. Thus the visitor when entering the room, discovered objects which reminded of living-room tables, hence the title of the exhibition: porTables vs. Sitcoms. Only after climbing upstairs to the gallery, the visitor would visualize the paintings on the tables surface.
